Chromogenic LAL Endotoxin Assay Kit, which is based on the enzymatic reaction principle of limulus, It is a commonly used kit for the quantitative detection of bacterial endotoxin (also known as Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) by colorimetric method with high sensitivity, high stability and strong anti-interference ability. The detection sensitivity can be as low as 0.01EU/ml, and small samples can be detected, which can be as little as 10 microliters or less.

Principle:  Limulus reagents are Lyophilized Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) or similar reagents reconstituted in vitro. Limulus reagents contain C factor, B factor, coagulase, coagulinogen, etc. Under suitable conditions (temperature, pH, and no interfering substances), the endotoxin activates factor C, causing a series of enzymatic reactions that activate the coagulase procoagulase to form coagulase, which breaks down the chromogens provided in this kit into polypeptides and yellow p-nitroaniline (pNA, λmax =405nm). In a certain time, the production of pNA was positively correlated with the concentration of endotoxin. At the same time, p-nitroaniline (pNA) can also react with the azotization reagent to produce rose red product (λmax =545nm), according to which the endotoxin concentration of the sample to be measured can be quantified, and the color of the sample to be measured can avoid interference with the absorption peak at 405nm.
Storage:  Store at 4°C for two years. The endotoxin test reagent should be properly divided immediately after dissolution, and stored at -20°C for one week, and at least two months after being frozen at -80°C in liquid nitrogen. The remaining reagents are dissolved and stored at -20°C for at least 6 months.
